Alpines 2002 lineup once again raises the standard by which head units
will be judged. The design is even more attractive and easier to see and
use than past models, especially the up and out 1.3-DIN size
front panel of the two high-end models. The Bass Engine® functions,
extremely popular last year, have been further refined with even greater
sound customisation capabilities. They provide 15dB of bass impact that
can be adjusted to personal tastes in 1dB increments. And because every
vehicle, type of speaker and speaker enclosure is different, the bass frequencies
can be boosted at selected points to contour the system for best results.
As you move up the line, there are more sophisticated features, including
the new MediaXpanderTM that has selectable expansion modes for optimising
the quality of four different sources.
There
are three categories of Bass Engine® features.
